How do modifications, cancellations and refunds work?

Accepted Answer

Any amendment of the content or arrival dates of the purchased services with up to 21 days before the beginning of your services will not incur in any cancellation fees, except if the new provided dates contain a rate difference. If the new arrival date is cheaper than the original one, Greca Travel will refund the difference.

If your selected product contains an air or train ticket, the publicly known charges originated from such amendment, will indeed be charged to the traveller. Updated vouchers in case of modification, or refunds, in case of cancellation, will be sent only once a week, on Wednesdays.

No changes or modifications are allowed 21 days or less from the start date of the program.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email and shall be effective in the next 24 hours.

In case of cancellations within less than 31 days prior to your arrival, cancellation expenses shall be collected in advance in accordance with the following table.

30-15 days before your arrival: 35% of the total price
14-08 days before your arrival: 50% of the total price
7-0 days before your arrival or in case of passenger's no-show: 100% of the total price.

Products with a cancellation policy, of less (1), equal to or greater (2) than 31 days unify expenses with the period mentioned in the segment 30-15 before your arrival, unless specified otherwise (3).

Example 1: Free, 22 to 31 days before arrival.

Example 2: Free up to 90 days. If you cancel 90 days before arrival, you have expenses of 35%, or 50% in case of canceling, for example, 14 days in advance.

Example 3: Free up to 48 hours. You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival. After this, the product is non-refundable.

Airline or train tickets included in each program are non-refundable, and incur 100% cancellation fees as from the purchase of your program (1), unless specifically mentioned in the cancellation policy of the particular product (2). In case of modification of dates, only the charges that airline or train companies charge will apply.

Example 1: Free until 31 days before arrival, except airline tickets. Airline tickets are non-refundable. The rest of the program, however, applies the regular policy for expenses mentioned, in the table above.

Example 2: Free 22 or 31 days before arrival. Even when the program includes airline tickets, if not mentioned here, applicable expenses shall be according to the table.

Travel safely by acquiring our Cancellation Insurance which covers 100% of the Price in the event of hospitalization of the policy holder or a direct relative, death, or other unforeseen events.

1. To confirm if you wish to pay by bank transfer to our account in Greece or by credit card.

2. If you choose to pay with a credit card, our system will propose a minimum and a maximum number of possible installments depending on your date of travel.

3. You can handle your payment with Visa, Mastercard or Maestro. Payments with American Express, Diners and Discover carry 3% interest.

It is the ideal way to travel and share expenses if you are 3 friends or family, they will enjoy every moment of the trip together. Generally, triple rooms consist of an extra bed, a sofa bed, or similar, depending on the accommodation property. The discount granted to the third occupant is distributed among all three travelers and so you will all benefit from the lower price.

What happens in case of rain or inclement weather?

No need to worry, it rains a few days a year in the Mediterranean.

If it rains, the activities will still take place as normal. If there are extreme conditions (such as heavy snow or very high temperatures) and the tour has to be canceled, we will offer you an alternative date or refund the payment.

What do the transfers include and what is the waiting time?

In the event of possible delays in flights or the collection of your luggage, the representatives of greca will wait for you up to 90 minutes from the arrival of your flight and 45 minutes in ports and train stations.

In the included section of each program, as well as in their respective description, we specify whether they include assistance and/or transportation. Transfers are common for all passengers sharing the same reservation code or number.

Greca books hotels that always include breakfast. At each tour we specify whether there are meals included in the package or if they are optional. We suggest consulting the relevant section of each tour program for more details!

What are the car rental requirements?

Accepted Answer

You must be at least 21 years old for renting a vehicle (25 years old in some categories). There are no maximum age restrictions.

The driver´s credit or debit card will be requested at the time of picking up the vehicle and will be used for the security deposit (prepaid cards are not accepted).

What is the franchise in the insurance policy of a rental car

Accepted Answer

Franchise is the part of the damage in a claim that the insured party has to pay. It can be a fixed amount or a percentage of the total insured amount. Therefore, the amount and payment of the insurance company coverage only begins when the claim exceeds the amount of said franchise.

For example: if the insurance franchise is Eur 750 and the damage from the accident to be covered is Eur 1000, the insurance company will have to pay for the difference between the franchise payment (paid by the insured party) and the total amount of the claim, that is to say, Eur 250 in this case.

Do I need a visa?

Accepted Answer

This will depend on the country issuing your passport and the country or countries to visit. Many of these countries exempt travelers of the visa issue procedure for stays of less than 90 calendar days.

From greca travel we recommend, in any case, to contact the embassy of the country or countries to visit, in your place of residence, prior to your departure. You can check it online here.

Also, if you are thinking of booking a cruise program, or visiting multiple countries, it is essential that you check whether or not you need a "Double Entry" or "Multiple" Visa to re-enter the countries you would already have visited during your future trip.

What steps should I follow to make the reservation? And what should I expect after that?

Once you have selected the package that best suits your preferences, expectations, and needs, you can not only acquire it online but also customise it, or if you wish, contact us for any additional or advanced modifications you may not be able to process.

1. Click on the program that suits you better, complete the required fields in the box "See prices here", located at the right hand of the screen, or at the bottom of the screen if you are using a tablet or mobile phone.

2. After completing the previous step, if you wish to book, please click on "Book now" or you may add Optionals and/or Additional nights by clicking on "Customise your program".

Our system will take you through 3 simple steps:

3- In step 1: here we will require you to make the desired changes to customise your experience, including optionals and/or additional nights in the destinations that allow it. In this step, you may also add notes or special requirements you may have.

4. Once in step 2, we will require the personal information of the passengers, including full names as shown in the passports, date of birth, passport number. Please note that only fields marked with "*" are compulsory.

5. In step 3, the final step, we will require you to re-confirm if you want to pay through a wire transfer to our accounts in Greece or with a credit card.

6- Once we have processed and/or verified the payment, we will send you the Master Vouchers for the services within the following 48 or 72 business hours.

Accepted Answer

At Greca we offer discounts for travelers of 10 or more persons, who join the same tour program and make use of the same services at the same time, which is automatically calculated and awarded to the group by our website.

Discounts for minors depend on the child’s age at the time of the trip and must be reported to and requested directly from our agents.

Keep in mind that discounts for groups or minors cannot be combined with any other promotions.
