Egypt is a country that is part of the African and Asian continent. Its neighboring countries are Israel, Palestine, Libya and Sudan. It also borders the coasts of the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.

Egypt stands out for its deserts and an arid climate, warm in winter and very hot during summer, with very little but torrential rainfall. The little vegetation in the place has been concentrated in specific areas and is made possible by the existence of the Nile River, the main source of water and promoter of fertile land.

The language spoken in this country is Arabic and its currency is the Egyptian pound. Much of its appeal lies in the historical cultural heritage that is preserved from ancient civilizations. Even today new archaeological finds continue to be made in the region and many enigmas remain unsolved.

Egypt's high season is February through May and September through November, during spring and fall, when you can find the best weather for touring the region.

In case you prefer to visit the country when it is less crowded, you can consider the rest of the months, but you should consider the possibility that sometimes the weather does not accompany you as much as you would like.

What to Eat and Drink in Egypt

Egypt is a great destination for those who love to learn about different cultures through their flavors, since its exotic cuisine is a faithful reflection of Egyptian culture.

One of the dishes that we recommend you try is Mahshi, a dish made from baked vegetables, such as peppers, zucchini or aubergine, stuffed with rice mixed with aromatic herbs and served with tomato sauce.

Also, the Koshari, a recipe made with a mixture that tastes surprisingly spectacular, since it has pasta, tomato sauce, rice, caramelized onion, garlic, lentils, chickpeas, ingredients that are not usually seen together in any other part of the world.
