Lefkada is an island very famous for the beautiful beaches that it has on its territory. Here we will mention the most acclaimed by tourists.
Milos Beach
It is a spacious beach, located south of Agios Nikitas and 14 km from the city, with limited access (it can only be reached on foot or by sea). Around it, you can see a landscape full of cliffs and vegetation. It does not have any tourist infrastructure, so it gives a different, wild feeling to those who visit it. If you are looking for adventure and tranquility, this beach is for you.
Egremny Beach
This is another wild beach, located in the southwest of the island, 40 km from the city. It is considered one of the most beautiful places in the entire Mediterranean Sea due to the purity of its turquoise waters, which contrast with the whitish cliffs and vegetation. Its sand is also extremely light in color.
Porto Katsiki Beach
One of the most paradisiacal and visited beaches on the entire island. It is located 40 km from the city of Lefkada, on the southeast side. It is one of the beaches with the highest reputation nationally and worldwide, which has become one of the biggest attractions of the place.
It has both shallow and extremely deep waters, so be careful when moving along its coast; these are usually calm, but you can also see big waves there. It is very common for tourists to land there to take photos of the beautiful scenery it offers.
Kathisma Beach
Located about 15 km from the city of Lefkada, this beach is considered one of the most beautiful on the entire island. It is one of the most extensive white sand coasts, in it, you will always see many tourists, mainly young people. Depending on the time, the tones of its coast change from turquoise to electric blue.
Unlike the previous beaches mentioned, Kathisma beach has extremely easy access. Its waters are calm and low, making it ideal for children and the elderly. Thanks to this, it is also ideal for family snorkeling or renting umbrellas available.
